The Dark Ice Project is an expedition pushing the limits of human determination, athleticism and innovation. In fall 2020, three British explorers launched a refitted enclosed liferaft off Northern Canada, bound for the North Pole. As they gathered scientific data on and off the ice and trekked across the pole, their clothing kit became their main protector and insulator. BYBORRE developed and pushed the limits of Merino wool knits for base and mid layers, and consulted on the design and integration of each layer from base to outer.
