C&A's next step toward sustainability rethinks garment production by giving new life to old denim. In collaboration with East London Vintage Denim and creative director Anna Foster, C&A created two upcycled denim suits produced by Makers Unite. The unique styles set a clear statement for a conscious transition to a more responsible fashion industry.

Makers Unite is an Amsterdam based textile creative agency with a social mission. The studio welcomes newcomer talent into traineeships developing skills within the fashion industry. Graduates work independently on assignments for partners interested in inclusion, ethical production and sustainability, with a focus on recycling and up-cycling to give materials a second life.

Ground Support joined Makers Unite in 2023 to cover development and production coordination during a team gap. What began as three months extended over a year, with onsite work two to three days per week managing all product projects, including the C&A x E.L.V. collaboration. Responsibilities spanned client contact, project management, in house atelier coordination and production partner liaison in Turkey, ensuring delivery from concept to final product.
