C&A’s next step on the path to sustainability is all about rethinking the way new garments can be produced by giving new life to old denim jeans and fabrics.
In collaboration with East London Vintage Denim and under the direction of creative director Anna Foster C&A has created two up-cycled denim suits, produced by Makers Unite.
The unique styles with high attention to detail have set a clear statement for a conscious transition to a more upcycled and responsible fashion industry.

Makers Unite is a textile based creative agency from Amsterdam with a big social mission. It all starts with welcoming creative talent of newcomers in the Makers Unite studio where they can start their traineeship of developing soft and hard skills within the fashion industry. Once graduated they will be able to work independently on assignments to create products for Makers Unite partners who are interested in inclusion and an ethical production for a more sustainable world. The product focus lies on recycling and upcycling in order to give garments and materials a second life.
